Health visiting service

You can self- refer online to the health visiting team if you have a child that in 0-5 years old. In East Sussex there are services designed to help – from before your baby is born, until a child becomes a young adult. These include a range of services, such as health visiting, keywork, community and youth groups to more specialist support.

What do they provide?

  • Antenatal visit
  • New birth review
  • A review at 6 to 8 weeks
  • A review at 9 months to 1 year
  • A further review 2 to 2.5 years
  • Advice of feeding your baby such as introducing your baby to solid foods and dental health
  • Advice around child growth and development, undertaking developmental reviews
  • Advice on behaviour difficulties, sleeping, potty training
  • Advice on safety, family health and minor illnesses
  • Postnatal workshops
  • Specific support on subjects such as postnatal depression (PND)
  • Parenting advice and support and signposting to other agencies

 

i-ROCK

i-rock young person mental health service

If you’re aged 14-25 and live in East Sussex then i-Rock is here to help you. You can self refer to IROCK, however is primarily a signposting service – this means that one of our team members will work to refer you on to the most appropriate support service and in some cases, you may be invited back for some follow up sessions.

There are lots of different people at IROCK with knowledge and resources to help with mental health worries, housing issues, employment, studying concerns or anything else that may be on your mind.

What do they provide?

  • Drop in sessions,
  • Virtual chats- video call or audio,
  • Text chats

 

Eggtooth

eggtooth for mental and physical wellbeing for children

Eggtooth focus on both mental and physical well-being, it’s a robust service, designed to provide children with the tools they need to thrive.

Egg tooth offer fully funded sessions through the NHS if you are between 7-18 years old you can apply for 8 funded sessions. All of our provision is overseen by clinical supervisors, ensuring the work and practices are of a therapeutically high standard. We currently work with over 40 practitioners and have offered services to over 200 new clients in the past year.

  • Cooking and nutrition cooking
  • Guided meditation

ISEND

ISEND champiioning change for special needs children

The Inclusion Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (ISEND) Front Door is a way that you can request support for children and young people with additional and/or special educational needs and disabilities.  You can self refer to ISEND services via the ISEND Front Door on Czone.

What do they provide?

  • Direct 1:1 support with child in need
  • Support and advice for families
  • Support and advice for education settings
  • Access to parent and child classes
  • Access to useful resources

 

Childline

Childline is here to help anyone under 19 in the UK with any issues they’re going through. You can talk about anything, whether is something big or small. Chlidline have trained counsellors here to support you. Childline is free, confidential and available any time, day or night. You can talk to them by self referring online here.
